MILAN — 22 January 2026 — The Scientology Volunteer Ministers have brought their distinctive Yellow Tent to Milan, offering a public, walk-up space for hands-on assistance and one-to-one guidance, alongside simple “Tools for Life” techniques that can be applied to daily problems. Already seen in major cities such as New York, London, Paris, Berlin, Madrid, Rome and Naples, the Yellow Tent is designed to let residents speak with trained volunteers and learn simple steps for communication breakdowns, workplace stress and conflict resolution, as well as practical help during difficult news eu law moments.

Volunteer Ministers are local citizens trained through 19 introductory “Tools for Life” courses covering communication, relationships, study skills, workplace challenges and conflict resolution. In Italy, Volunteer Ministers have supported communities during major emergencies including L’Aquila (2009) and Emilia-Romagna (2012), and have also assisted during flooding in the Marche region (2022) and Romagna (2023), working alongside local institutions and civil protection actors to help clear homes and public spaces.

In Milan, activity expanded during the COVID-19 period with sanitisation efforts and support for families in need. Organisers say volunteers then continued with community care work, including over 160 consecutive Saturdays of community clean-up and support, extending across all nine municipalities of the city, while also contributing to solidarity efforts such as supporting aid shipments to Ukraine.

Ivan Arjona, Scientology’s representative to the European Union, OSCE, Council of Europe and UN, said: “Across Europe, we see that communities become stronger when citizens feel equipped to help one another in practical ways—calmly, respectfully and without prejudice. Their work reflects a civic principle: support starts with listening and providing tools that help people regain the ability to act and contribute.”
